We love groups at EVP!

Education is a key component to what we want to achieve here at EVP, and we encourage groups to visit the project.
School groups, university groups, gap year programs, staff retreats and more. Whether a day visit or an overnight
program, we can offer groups our standard program or tailor a program to suit individual needs – for example school
studying specific subjects or having a volunteer project in mind. We can also design a specific time other than our set
programs, eg 4 Day/3 Night or more, to meet your group’s schedule.

A group is considered 6 or more people. Our standard group size to visit the elephants is maximum 12 pax, this
includes trip leaders and agency guides. However, if the group is larger than this, we will split the group for their
sessions visiting the elephants. Our preferred overnight maximum is 20 due to accommodation in our group house,
but we can take up to 24 pax for a Day Visit (split into 2 groups).

We offer Groups 15% discount off our Rack Rate.

We have a group house that can accommodates 20 people – in 4 x quad share rooms + 2 x twin rooms!

We can design a program to suit your needs, or you can also do one of our fabulous standard elephant volunteer programs.

Specific Group Booking Conditions

• As the project is getting busier every year, groups should make enquiries at least 6 months in advance for their preferred
  booking dates. We will then check availability and book into our calendar.
• All group bookings must confirm final numbers 6 weeks before. An invoice will then be issued based on final numbers and full
  payment is required one month before arrival.
• Group bookings can reserve the entire house for their group if they have 10 or more people; otherwise we reserve the right to
  sell the extra room/s to other visitors. Numbers must be confirmed 6 weeks before arrival, and if less than 10 guests confirm,
  the remaining rooms will then be open for sale to other visitors.
• For new group booking partners or one off group bookings, we require a 10% non-refundable deposit on the group booking to
  secure the booking on the group house. Once booking partners establish a relationship and booking history, we can waive this
  deposit process.
• All group tour leaders/chaperones will be offered a 50% discount off the Rack Rate, as they are undertaking the same activities
  we require to also charge for food and accommodation etc.
• For groups with children under 18yrs, particularly staying on our overnight programs, we require a min number of
  leaders/chaperones, as all children need to be supervised. This is in case for example any of the children get sick, one of the
  leader/chaperones always has to be with the group on activity and one has to stay with the sick participants or may be
  required to leave the site and accompany them to medical services:
  o 6-12 participants – this would require one leaders/chaperones with the activity group & one spare
  leaders/chaperones = 2 leaders/chaperones total
  o 13-25 participants – this would require one leader with each activity group & one spare leader = 3 Leaders
  required
• Please take note of the Group House rooming allocation and plan numbers accordingly. We cannot guarantee separate rooms
  for boys and girls, unless they fit within these rooming allocations. If the tour leader/s then also require their own room, this
  also must be within these rooming allocations also.
